Oliver Daniels
I am a Digital Compositor working in film and TV with a love for code, maths, and RnD, as well as photography, light, and cameras. I'm extremely passionate about visual effects as well as all things film, and am excited by the unique problem-solving challenges I encounter each day as a visual effects artist.
My Journey in VFX
Since being coerced into attending a filmmaking class by a friend in primary school, I've become obsessed with film and visual effects, and spent most of my free time making amateur short films, which eventually became crammed with vfx shots when I was introduced to After Effects in high school. In 2019, I moved from my home city of Melbourne to Auckland, New Zealand, to study a Bachelor's of Art and Design (3D Animation & Visual Effects) at Media Design School. I now work in Auckland as a compositor, having had the pleasure of working on projects such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Star Trek: Discovery. In my spare time I enjoy bushwalking, photography, watching movies, and working on personal vfx projects.
